SO is Smaal Orchids. Since 2004 the company of the brothers André, Hans, Martin, Wouter and Johan Smaal continues as SO Natural.

During 2008, SO Natural opened a young plant horticulture of 2 ha, where Phalaenopsis is being cultivated for our own production. In 2009 SO Natural realized an expansion of 4 ha of surface meant for cultivation of Phalaenopsis. Half of this surface has double level floors. The upper level is used for cultivation of the plants and the lower level contains a delivery hall, docks and offices, completely surrounded by the glass house.

In 2010, SO Natural has a production surface of 13 ha and the young plant horticulture of 2 ha. With a production of more than 8 million orchids per year, SO Natural is the biggest orchid horticulture in the world.

However, the core values of our Orchids will always take centre stage: luxurious, exclusive, high-quality, sustainable and exotic. SO Natural also distinguishes itself by its enormous logistical possibilities and constant realization of the demanded quality. “Do what the client wants” is our motto.
